Baptism
“Believe and be baptised.” Mark 16:15.
At TLC, we believe that every believer needs to be baptised. If you have come to believe in Jesus and have decided to follow him then we strongly encourage you to “take the plunge”. It is a powerful public statement of what you believe and spiritually significant.
A TLC baptism service is a wonderful and memorable time for new believers, guests and the wider church.
We celebrate those getting baptised having died to a life without God and risen to a new life in Jesus by immersing them in (warm) water.
A baptism service is also an opportunity for the people being baptised to tell something of their story. It is a great celebration.
We ask everyone we baptise to attend a short teaching session beforehand, usually on a Sunday morning.
