Giving

We want to be a generous people, providing the church with the resources to do things with excellence, as well as to demonstrate God’s generosity outside this church in what we give away. The Bible clearly teaches the principle of giving, and money is just one demonstration of commitment to the work and ministry of the church to which we belong.

Whether tithing as defined in the Old Testament (10% of gross income), or giving above and beyond this, in this age of grace, the Bible says that “each [person] should give what he has decided in his heart to give, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver” (2 Corinthians 9:7).

Whether giving by cheque, cash, debit or credit card, if possible use an envelope for your giving or set up a standing order form. If you are a tax payer and have not signed a gift aid form, please fill in the gift aid section of the envelope. For any financial questions or queries please contact Ruth Fletcher.
