I want to see the pilot!

Is it just a “nice flight” you are after?

A man tells a story of an ordinary plane journey. As the passengers file on, an excited little boy catches his eye, and he hears a little voice pipe, “Can I see the pilot today?”

At that moment, a smiling face leans out of the cockpit…”Anyone looking for me?”says a smartly uniformed man.

So the boy gets his cockpit tour and an ordinary journey becomes something very special.

When we come into God’s presence, in daily life and maybe especially when we attend a church service, I am challenged by this story… Are we simply settling for a nice flight, a good but not spectacular, necessary time, or are we not content with that, are we actually yearning to see the Pilot Himself?!

Worship is what we are created for.
Worship will change us as we see more of His face.

I don’t know about you, but I want more than a nice flight.
I want to see the pilot.

I am sitting here wondering what a Sunday would look like for us, what a prayer meeting would be like, or even a time with a friend, if we all came like children in anticipation of adventure, if we all desired and saw the One True and Living Pilot?

I really pray we find out.
See you Sunday!

Love,
Your friend,
