Pants Ambassador?!!

Well, whatever next?! The other day I got an email offering me some “weight loss hot pants” at a reduced rate…apparently, wearing these while exercising will lead to the pounds of excess flesh effortlessly dropping off. I did not buy, although I did wonder whether wearing extra layers of clothes at the gym would have a similar effect (I tried it this morning…so if I turn to the side and you miss me, you will know why!)
Anyway, the same company are also looking for more enthusiasts for their products to become “ambassadors”…fancy that, an ambassador for pants.
Following Sunday’s message (28th August, if you missed it, do listen), I was already pondering what being an ambassador means. How wonderful that we have a much more powerful and lasting message, and that the kingdom and King we serve are incredible.
Can I ask, are you aware of being his ambassador wherever you are?
And have you delivered a stash of the “wish you were here” postcards around your house yet? These postcards carry something of our culture, and could just be the means of someone on your road reading a story on our website, visiting church, coming to know our God for themselves.
David and I did a good lot on Monday around our house, and it was great to walk up the drives, pray for the people and simply be aware of those who live around us…Father was saying a few things to us too.
Come on TLC, if you haven’t been able to pick up your postcards yet, you can collect them on Sunday and deliver…you don’t know where it may lead. Take a few into your place of work or local doctors…anywhere there are people.
Come to think of it, I may take some to my gym changing room friends…with or without hot pants!
