Youth
Hey, my name is Tom and I lead the youth work of our church. It is amazing what is happening in our youth… here’s a glimpse into some of our work.
On Sundays, once a fortnight, we have SYNERGY. This is a group for youth (yr9-13) in which we look into the topics covered in church, discuss them further, apply these things to our lives and get to know each other while we’re doing it. It’s relevant, it’s community, it runs during the preach and it’s fun.
REAL life group happens every Monday from 7-9pm at the Church House (just down from the TLC building) and anyone can come along. A perfect way to build friendships, get deeper into God and start your week well, open to anyone from year 8 – 13.
We run clubs in schools weekly. We are looking to begin groups in many secondary schools around the city, but currently we run a club in Babington College every Friday. If you know of any opportunities to begin a club or run an assembly in a school in Leicester, please let us know.
And on a Friday, we have our youth group, REAL. We are a diverse group ranging from year 8s to sixth formers who meet every Friday from 7 until 9.15. Anyone is welcome to come along at any time. We do loads of different things in REAL, but here’s a sample of some of them… we chat together, make new friends, drink hot chocolate, play table tennis, pool and the PS2, chill out, worship God, enjoy some great videos, play some crazy games, listen to inspiring teaching and essential life tips, eat food, listen to great music, host amazing events, get involved with incredible projects and initiatives, go on unforgettable weekends away, attend soul survivor each year, dress up for the annual Christmas ball, get to know God more and, most of all, we have a brilliant time.
You can come along any Friday you want. You will be welcomed, we’ll introduce you to people and it’s really easy to settle in cos there’s so many different people and loads of things to do.

Café R is on once a month from 9.15 till 10 (after REAL), a chance to grab a cake and a drink and chat with great people! Also once a month in this time slot is REAL deep, a chance to go deeper with God, to worship Him and join together with people who want the same thing.
Traffiklight. This is the compassion project we are currently running in REAL. The aim is to make people more aware of the realities of human trafficking in our world today and, of course, to try and help make a difference by raising as much as possible. We are kicking off REAL on the 3RD SEPTEMBER! We look forward to seeing you all there.
